1.9. An automatic transmission
THE GENERAL DATA

Automatic transmission operated by means of electronics also has four transfers of a forward course and backing transfer.

THE SELECTOR LEVER

The selector lever has seven positions. The release button should be pressed at lever installation in positions "P", "R", or "2".

P – the Parking. This position should be established only at a car stop. Driving wheels are blocked in this position and interfere with car moving. It is necessary to tighten also a manual brake. It is forbidden to establish the lever in this position at car movement.

R – the Backing. This position should be established only at the stopped car and the engine idling.

N – Neutral position. This position should be established at start of the engine and its work idling.

D – Advance. Usual position at movement.

D – Advance. Usual position at movement. It is possible to pass from position D in positions 3, 2 or 1 at car movement.

3 – car Movement occurs only on first three transfers.

2 – Movement only on 1 and 2 transfers. It is used at movement without the trailer on roads with liftings or descents in mountains or movement with a speed to 40 km/hour.

1 – Movement only on 1 transfer. It is used at movement with strong liftings and descents.

MODE HOLD

Mode HOLD is used for movement on slippery surfaces of type of snow roads or a dirt. When switch HOLD is pressed, while the selector lever is in position "D", "3" or "2", transfer changes to mode HOLD, and control lamp HOLD on a combination of devices lights up. For deenergizing of mode HOLD repeatedly press the switch.

MODE POWER


Mode POWER is used for fast acceleration or when the big capacity is required. When the switch a mode and POWER is pressed, while the selector lever is in position "D", "3" or "2", transfer changes to mode POWER, and control lamp POWER on a combination of devices lights up. For deenergizing of mode POWER repeatedly press the switch.
